Welcome to Jews and Christians for Israel (JCI), a dynamic branch of ACLI dedicated to uniting pastors, rabbis, and faith leaders. JCI serves as the arm through which ACLI cooperates and collaborates with Jewish rabbis and leaders. Our mission is to advocate for Israel at both local and national levels, forging a meaningful Jewish-Christian alliance. By joining our interfaith arms, our coalition shows that support for Israel is not just a Jewish or Christian issue—it’s an American priority!

Birthed in Crisis

JCI—an alliance of pastors, rabbis, and faith leaders—emerged from the challenges faced by American Jews in the aftermath of October 7. As Jewish leaders struggled to find allies in an increasingly hostile world, ACLI’s leaders sought tangible ways to show their love and support. JCI became the platform for rabbis and Jewish leaders to connect with pastors and their Christian supporters. With 240 hostages held captive in Gaza and Israel fighting a war against evil incarnate, the two groups swiftly mobilized to bring their concerns to elected officials.

Achievements and Milestones

In just two years, we’ve made significant strides. In November 2023, merely a month after Hamas’s brutal assault, JCI coordinated a groundbreaking national weekend of prayer across churches and synagogues. During this historic event, congregations on Sundays and synagogues on Saturdays dedicated special time in their services to pray for Israel’s safety and the release of over 240 hostages held by Hamas. ACLI urged pastors and Christian leaders to reach out to their local synagogues, offering prayers for Israel and the hostages’ release.

In January 2024, ACLI partnered with the Zionist Rabbinic Coalition (ZRC). With only two weeks of preparation, we assembled a delegation of 70 rabbis and pastors. The group met with their respective members of Congress, advocating for vital security aid for Israel following Hamas’ unprovoked assault on the Jewish state. They urged rejection of efforts to precondition funding to Israel by pressing for negotiations or scaling back operations in Gaza. The faith leaders also called for the release of hostages without preconditions and a complete cessation of funding to UNRWA. They highlighted the unprecedented rise in antisemitism in the United States, encouraging lawmakers to support efforts to investigate and deter antisemitic violence. Rabbi Stuart Weinblatt, Chairman of the ZRC, told the Christian leaders, “You have no idea how comforting it is to know that we are not alone.”

Continued Advocacy

In May 2025, a coalition of rabbis and pastors will return to Capitol Hill with ZRC and an expanded delegation of 300 Jewish and Christian leaders and even more congressional appointments. As Christian Zionists, we at ACLI are committed to ensuring that our Jewish friends never feel alone again. In 1937, 400 rabbis marched to the White House and Capitol Hill, urging the US government to take action to rescue European Jews from Nazi persecution. Their legitimate concerns went largely unaddressed. Today is different. The pastors and leaders in ACLI’s network will never ignore the evils of antisemitism or anti-Zionism. Our vision is for the halls of Congress to become accustomed to seeing a mix of pastors in suits and rabbis in kippot, united in representing the same causes and concerns.
