Last month, I had the privilege of attending the annual Israel Bonds Leadership Conference in Dallas. I have long been a passionate advocate for the nation of Israel, God’s chosen land and people. This conference only strengthened my conviction that we as Christians have both a Biblical mandate and a moral obligation to stand firmly with Israel.

During this powerful gathering, I joined fellow Israel Bonds leaders from across the country who share a commitment to Israel’s security and prosperity. The comradery and strategic discussions were truly inspiring as we explored ways to deepen the bonds between our communities and Israel.

Let me be clear: Israel bonds are not just financial investments—they are spiritual investments in God’s plan for His people’s future. When we purchase Israel bonds, we are directly contributing to the economic foundation of the Jewish state, strengthening the economy of the only safe place for Christians in the Middle East and fostering innovation that benefits the entire world.

As I spoke with Jewish leaders at the conference, I was reminded of Genesis 12:3, where God promises to Abraham: “I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.” This promise remains as true today as it was thousands of years ago.

The strategic alliance between Christians and Jews in supporting Israel is not merely political—it is built on shared values, including the commitment to responsible financial stewardship. When Christians engage with Israel Bonds, they are making a sound financial decision, investing in a nation that has never defaulted on a loan and has a proven track record of reliability. Supporting Israel in this way strengthens economic resilience while upholding the principle of wisely managing what has been entrusted to us.

The National Association of Christian Lawmakers (NACL) has a long history of unwavering support for Israel and Israel Bonds. Through our friendship with the Jewish community, our members have been blessed to open doors for many states to invest in Israel Bonds and to bring Christians and Jews together to celebrate the values that bind us. If there’s one thing, I took away from the Israel Bonds Leadership Conference, it’s that we, as their Christian brothers and sisters, must continue to build upon the foundation of support and advocacy for Israel and the Jewish people that we’ve cultivated for years.

As Americans, this alliance is more than a strategic necessity. Israel is the only true democracy in the Middle East, and its freedom is essential for stability in the region, as well as our own here at home. We must always work to ensure every generation appreciates this important fact.

What we are seeing today is deeply troubling – the hostility toward Israel is rooted in misinformation and a rejection of Judeo-Christian principles that have long defined our values. If we abandon Israel, we are turning our backs on the very principles that built this nation. The future of Israel – strengthened by our investment – is directly tied to the preservation of Christian values in America.

As I write this, I’m reminded that the Jewish community is about to celebrate Passover, the story of the Jews’ exodus from Egypt, marking their freedom from slavery. Through the lens of today’s political climate, this historic episode of Jewish persecution doesn’t feel distant enough.

I left the Israel Bonds Leadership Conference more convinced than ever that the Christian-Jewish alliance in support of Israel is essential for such a time as this. As threats against Israel continue to mount, our financial support through Israel Bonds helps ensure that this island of democracy in the Middle East stands strong.

Our support for Israel must be more than just words – it must be backed by concrete action. Israel bonds represent one of the most direct and impactful ways we can stand in solidarity with God’s chosen nation. Whether as individuals, churches, or Christian organizations, investing in Israel bonds provide a tangible way to demonstrate our unwavering support, strengthening Israel’s economic resilience during difficult moments, whether it be devastating terrorist attacks like the ones we witnessed on October 7, 2023, or international pressure campaigns.

We must be bold in our faith and resolute in our defense of the truth. The future of America and the future of Israel depend on it.
